Groovy Eyes (FINLAND)
Tuberadio Broadcast
CD PRICE: £9.99
Their second Tuberadio Broadcast - CD continues following the path of their unique, earthly & fearless 2-track live-recording tradition. The natural, unconditional & wide open vibrating way of making records is the only way this band ever wants to do records which was the case also of their highly worldwide acclaimed debut High Flyin´ But No Foolin´- CD.
With this CD the band has succeeded again in a very hard field that most bands only dream of. They have captured the same spontanity, energy, intensity, soulfulness and joy of life as they are serving live on stage. These 100% original tunes are worldclass in their professionalism played with immediately irresistable groovy sound and personality. The tone and feel of this band combined with brilliant songs makes it very special. |

The Five Aces (UK)
Shout & Shimmy
CD PRICE: £9.99
Loosely speaking, their brand of music spans the period between the late 1950s and 1960s where rhythm & blues had almost started to develop into soul music and hammond organs played instrumentals that girls danced to. Rock n' roll was all about the twist, the monkey and 1001 other dance crazes and beat was not yet beaten into submission by the rock.
'"Imagine the Small Faces meeting the Poets and jamming with Chuck Berry and John Lee Hooker at a late night 60's blues session. THAT is the Five Aces." - Mark Lamarr, BBC Radio
"Wonderfully original rhythm & blues" - Paul Jones, BBC Radio (U.K.) |

The Electrophonics (NL/BE)
Little a Lot
CD PRICE: £11.99
100% self written songs. The lyrics are written by frontman and bluesharp player Stephan Hermsen. Number 10, Do-Rack is written by guitarist Huub Goosen. The music is from The Electrophonics, a group of enthusiastic men who like to play this retro swing-jump-rhythm & blues music.
As Jerry Hall (producer of James Harman, Little Charlie, BB & The Blues Shacks) wrote about this CD: "This band plays the West Coast style of blues just right-swingin and groovin' and not a lot of frills-just the real feel the way it should be played.
This music would have folks dancing anywhere they played." |
