BRIOLES was formed in 1986 (their first live gig took place on the 8th of August 1987) and they haven’t stopped playing ever since. A few drummer changes, several collaborations in different groups and projects (The Rockin’ Roosters, Bop Pills, Ella & the Roosters, Nu-Niles, The Swindlers...) haven’t made the Nunes brothers (Jorge and Daniel) loose their interest in their main project. The Aces - No One Rides For Free
Formed in 2000, The Aces have attitude and a different idea of how to play Blues. They reduce the Blues to pounding riffs and a distorted wall of sound topped by wailing harp. They were among the first to absorb and recast the drone riff-based Hill Country Blues style, and The Aces do that their own way. They write their own songs (they do very few covers). They have their own slicked back greased hair in a wind tunnel look attached to a permanent sneer and a pushy stage presence. The Hometown Gamblers - Takin Care Of Business
In the fall of 2004 the Hometown Gamblers got to back-up the Seatsniffers and their Guitar player / Singer “Walter Broes “heard the songs and liked them. They asked Walter, who’s also a well known producer, to help them with the production of a full CD. Soon, after some months of rehearsing and some help from Walter with the lyrics and musical arrangements, the guys went to the studio to record their first full album. The recordings were finished in April 2005 and the CD was released in early 2006 on El Toro records. The sublime CD cover was designed by Mighty Sam and El Cheapo (Design and pictures).
